Motifs and Dynamics in Complex Networks
Impact of motif content on the dynamic function of complex networks
(funded by Volkswagen-Stiftung)
This project aims at the connection between the dynamic behaviour and the motif content of a complex network. Motifs are small subgraphs with a specific structure.
We apply the methods we develop to three different case studies:
- metabolic networks of cells
- the network representing scientific collaborations
- the network of train connections in europe
